The Easy Guitar is a digital entertainment instrument with light-up frets that make it easy for anyone to play.
The instrument is shaped like an electric guitar, but it has no strings—only switches on the frets that light up. Players can even play songs by strumming without fingering any frets. Yamaha took the revolutionary step of soliciting proposals online to create this participatory design product.

-12 lighted frets show hand position for chords, 3 play modes, which include: Strumming: practice for right hand - chords change automatically Chord Training: practice for left hand - no strumming required, just make chord changes Full Play: practice for both hands - it shows you chord changes, while you strum and play chords
-6 strings for strumming or finger-picking,9 realistic guitar and 8 bass guitar sounds, plus banjo, shamisen, and piano.
